Byline Pro uses a multi-stage AI pipeline to identify factual claims in your article, then independently verifies each one. Claims are assessed as Verified, Partially Accurate, Inaccurate, or Unverifiable. Each verdict includes an explanation and, where relevant, a suggestion for how to fix it.

The grade is a weighted composite of four scores: factual accuracy (the biggest factor), link health, readability, and source density. An A means your article is well-sourced, factually sound, and clearly written. Lower grades highlight specific areas that need attention.

Your article text is stored temporarily to generate the scan report and to let you review your scan history. We do not share, sell, or use your content for any purpose other than providing the scan results to you.

Yes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Your articles and scan results are protected by row-level security, meaning only you can access your own data. We use Supabase for our database infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security.
